Located in the middle of Punta Sur, the south side of Isla Mujeres. The unique 3-story Garden House bed and breakfast is comprised of 4 suites, and 2 additional suites at Casa Jardin Dos, there is the ability to have 6 rooms total. You’ll find yourself instantly at ease in your oversized living areas with a kitchenette and coffee bar, and bedroom suite which is appointed with king-size comfy beds and linens. Laptop size safes, hairdryers, beach towels, water softener on water supply, air conditioners, and ceiling fans in bedrooms and living rooms. Private balconies are offered on the upstairs suites with views of the Caribbean and Cancun.
There are 3 pools on the property; We have a heated ground courtyard pool and 2 rooftop dip pools with covered pergolas. Watch the sunrise or that evening sunset from our rooftop palapa area. Guestrooms also include 2 sinks, large walk-in showers, and plush cotton towels. During your stay, be sure to indulge in a day of pampering by letting us schedule a Spa day with facials, relaxing Swedish massage for individuals, or couples, or group. We are perfect for romantic getaways or intimae wedding venues, yoga or wellness retreats.
There will be on-site daily breakfast included in the rental pricing and optional lunch and dinner packages, cooking classes available with Chef Shelley Pogue offering a cooking demonstration or hands-on classes. A rooftop garden is available for a tour, it provides seasonal produce that is used at The Garden House. We are within walking distance of several restaurants, the El Borracho Burro Bar & Grill and El Rancho Capriccio and The Joint Reggae Bar & Grill. There is a local beach on the Cancun side that is also within walking distance if you like to snorkel.

We are Susan Warren & Shelley Pogue. Together we have over 25years of restaurant & hospitality service. We want to offer a relaxing vacation for our guests who come to our bed and breakfast. We love to talk about Isla Mujeres: places to visit, special points of interest, excellent places for dinner, and do’s and dont’s while in Isla Mujeres! We offer free concierge services, and we do take time at check-in and make sure you feel at home. It’s your time off, so feel comfortable, relax and enjoy!
Our history
We came to Isla Mujeres like most people looking for and expecting a relaxing vacation. We indeed found that, and we also found it hard to leave. We searched for property for a couple of years and we found two lots that the locals called “The Jungle lots” it took a while to see the vision, it was built in 2019/2020
Susan is from New Jersey and graduated from UCONN and had worked for several years in the bar& restaurant industry and then pursued pharmaceuticals after college. She has been working in the restaurant industry for the past 4 years as Managing Partner/Owner of Farm to Fork in Leander TX. Sue has traveled the world and been to many places and understands both sides of vacation travel experiences and the service industry. Which is a great combination of expertise to ensure the experience we want to offer at Casa de Jardin.
Shelley is from Texas and is a US Army Veteran who served in Germany for 2 years. Shelley graduated Le Cordon Bleu back in 2006. Shelley worked for VSM Brands as a corporate research and development chef of recipes that are used for large retail warehouse stores, she then became a successful chef/restaurant owner of a little place called Farm to Fork in Leander, Texas (North of Austin). She is wanting to create and offer a more personalized service in a more relaxed atmosphere to create the perfect StayCation Foodie Vacation Experience.

Breakfast is included during your stay and is based on double occupancy. There is an additional charge of $35 per person if there are more than 2 persons in a room, and the chef needs to be notified before arrival. A chef prepared breakfast is served from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM and includes a fresh juice and coffee. Add a carafe of mimosas with fresh-squeezed juice for an additional charge. If you were an overachiever the night before on Hidalgo and miss our breakfast, we have our favorite go-to restaurants we can share with you.
Wine & Beer Bar Packages Available We can have a selection set up for you in your fridge upon arrival, celebrate your special occasions with us. We offer many different packages that are available for any occasion. With offerings of chilled champagne, fresh strawberries (if in season), charcuterie boards with smoked meats, cheeses and dried fruits, olives and assorted nuts, chef specialty creme brulee, or specialty desserts or cake.
Fine Dining & Personal Chef and Private Dinner Packages for couples or group setting Available $45-$150 per person depending on proteins and courses served. Contact for the menu before arrival to have this added to your stay. We serve only USDA meat and locally source our seafood.
isla mujeres activities
Isla Mujeres, is only 5 miles long and 1/2 mile wide and offers many land and water activities. There are multiple fishing charters on the island that will take you out we use Sea Hawk Divers for desired fish during the season. Bring your fresh catch of the day back to Casa Jardin and have it prepared by the in-house chef.
Take a dive charter to the Cave of the Sleeping Sharks or Cruz de la Bahia, the Cross of the Bay (for good luck, put pesos at the foot of the Virgin Mary 20 feet down)
Take a day trip to Isla Contoy, the bird sanctuary.
Shop downtown in the open-air markets and there are plenty of places selling cold Cerveza if you get parched and find some tacos. In Mexico nothing like good beer and tacos, and there are plenty of both!
Tour the island via bicycle, moped, or golf cart. We can set this up for you that will be delivered to the house before or upon your arrival. The Isla Cultural Food Tour is a good adventure for Foodies!
Visit North Beach for fun in the sun, and walk the beach it is one of the best beaches in Mexico, Stop in at North Garden for a wonderful anything you can think of, and they have a great bloody mary if you have had too much tequila or cerveza the night before. You will not regret it best food on the Northside of the island.
Visit the ancient Mayan ruins of Ixchel, goddess of fertility, and walk Punta Sur if you want to get a morning walk in. It is within walking distance from Casa Jardin about a 10-15 minute walk.
Dine-in or order delivery from some fantastic restaurants that serve traditional Mexican, Caribbean, and International cuisine. We use Isla Collena Delivery for many restaurants and some will deliver directly to you and we can help arrange that for you.
Are you a Turtle lover they lay their eggs along the Caribbean shore (April-June) and you see them on the Caribbean side when the water is calm.
Snorkle or dive trips year round, or swim with Whale Sharks (June-August) Sea Hawk Dive Shop is who we use and recommend have been using them for the past 9 years and Manu is AWESOME! Tell them Shelley and Sue sent you. You will not be disappointed!
